Black is the New Black – Serta Simmons Bedding Introduces New Design-Led Mattress Collection with Latest Beautyrest Black® Launch

With the essential nature of sleep being recognized now more than ever, at SSB we are focused every day on offering high quality and innovative sleep solutions across our portfolio that help people sleep better so they can live healthier lives. And, with style continuing to climb the ranks as a top reason consumers pick their mattress, we are similarly focused on marrying industry-leading comfort with high-impact design. 

With that in mind, today we are excited to announce our latest Beautyrest Black® Collection which takes luxury mattress design and aesthetics to the next level. 

The new Beautyrest Black line features: 

• Trend-Right Design – We approached the design process for Beautyrest Black as if it was a fashion launch. In fact, our in-house design team is led by Lauren Lauricella who has a background in fashion design. Lauren and her team leveraged trends in luxury home furnishings as well as fashion to inform the collection’s bold, all-black aesthetic, geometric accents and subtle pops of color (which delineate the different options in the line).  
• Luxury Materials – Luxury isn’t just in the look, it’s also in the feel. For the first time, we incorporated luxury materials, such as cashmere, in the mattress cover. We also included a new comfort layer in our higher-end models, which is infused with alpaca, cashmere and silk fibers, for airflow and breathability.  
• Premium Performance and Support – The performance of the mattress matches the line’s premium aesthetic. Beautyrest Black features our new targeted, zoned support system leveraging the brand’s patented T3 Pocketed Coil® Technology which absorbs energy to reduce motion transfer for more uninterrupted sleep, and helps provide up to 21% more support where people need it most (in the center of their mattress).* The collection also features new plant-based cooling technology.** More information on specific product features can be found at Beautyrest.com. 

With the new Beautyrest Black launch, we are introducing our full line of traditional and hybrid models in tandem for the first time, offering consumers a full suite of options with a unified look.
