Beautyrest Premieres New Campaign Highlighting Connection Between Sleep and Performance

Fully integrated campaign includes REM Cycle fitness class with Crunch Gyms and sleep advice from expert Dr. Rebecca Robbins

ATLANTA, June 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — This summer, Beautyrest® brand, one of the industry’s leading mattress brands, is reminding consumers that its Beautyrest Black® mattress is the ultimate equipment for high-performance sleep. Last week, the new ad campaign launched nationally, juxtaposing scenes of athletic performance with high-quality sleep achieved on a Beautyrest mattress. The brand will also host a series of online and offline events to underscore the importance of sleep to fuel success in our daily lives.

Starting in July, the brand is collaborating with Crunch Gyms to educate fitness enthusiasts on the best way to get a good night’s sleep, and the critical intersection of sleep and fitness performance. Beautyrest and Crunch have developed a series of activities to highlight sleep, including the first-ever REM Cycle class designed to promote peak performance and better sleep through a series of exercises that help people prepare, perform, power down, and restore the body for the best sleep ever.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Beautyrest and introducing this new, fun REM Cycle class to Crunch,” said Marc Santa Maria, National Group Fitness Director at Crunch. “Our members are always looking for different ways to workout at the gym and we are excited to introduce a class that encourages members to think about their sleep patterns as much as they do their fitness regiments.”

“Consumers recognize that having the right equipment can help you perform more effectively – whether it’s at work, the gym or in our homes,” said Beautyrest Executive Vice President of Marketing Jim Gallman. “With this integrated campaign, we intend to show millions of consumers that the right mattress with the right technology is an essential investment and the ultimate equipment for high-performance sleep.”

Beautyrest will also continue to serve as a resource for consumers, offering a deeper understanding of sleep science and helpful sleep advice through a partnership with Dr. Rebecca Robbins, a sleep researcher and co-author of “Sleep for Success.” Dr. Robbins primarily conducts research on the link between sleep and performance as well as strategies for optimal rest and recovery. Her role will be to help the brand educate consumers about ideal sleep habits and the impact of quality sleep on their waking success, including how high-quality sleep can give them an edge to perform more effectively.

“Rest plays a pivotal role in nearly all areas of our waking lives; yet in our society, sleep is unfortunately viewed as a luxury rather than a necessity,” said Dr. Robbins. “Research must be shared with the population to make a true difference, so it is wonderful when a brand like Beautyrest wants to engage with the academic community to promote the benefits of sleep.”

Content from Dr. Robbins will also be featured on Beautyrest.com, on its Under the Covers blog and on the brand’s social media channels. She also will be featured on SleepSells, the brand’s online training destination for retail sales associates and other industry insiders.

“We see an increasingly strong cultural link between achieving high performance in active lifestyle sports and bettering ourselves and our overall well-being,” said Patrick Scissons, Global Chief Creative Officer of KBS. “Beautyrest is putting sleep on the same playing field, drawing a powerful parallel to its importance.”

Serta Asks America to “DECLARE PEACE” In the Most Comfortable place around: the bedroom

Nearly half of Americans claim they spend less than one hour per day feeling at peace and relaxed.

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (May 17, 2017) – Living in an always-on culture and with the ongoing stressors of everyday life, Americans are in a state of record-level unrest and discomfort. Now more than ever, it’s impacting their ability to sleep comfortably. In their new campaign, Serta is encouraging people to take some time out of their busy lives and “Declare Peace.” With nearly half of Americans claiming they spend less than one hour per day feeling at peace and relaxed, Serta is reminding everyone that there’s no better place than the bedroom to find complete comfort, whether it’s for 15 minutes or a full night’s sleep.

Now through June 16, fans can join Serta by visiting DeclarePeace.com and using #SertaPeace on Instagram or Twitter to share how they’ll take time out to relax and reclaim their bedroom. Those who join are also entered for a chance to win the grand prize of a serene, tranquil bedroom makeover, as well as weekly comforting prizes including mattresses, pillows, blankets, sheets and more.

“It’s no surprise that we are busier and more stressed out than ever before and our ability to sleep is suffering as a result,” said Andrew Gross, Executive Vice President of Marketing, Serta. “We’re passionate about Declare Peace because the bedroom is the calmest place around, and the mattress is at the heart of it. At Serta, we work to bring technology and comfort together, so everyone can find a mattress that’s just right for them to create a bedroom sanctuary of their own.”

To kick off the campaign, Serta has teamed up with actress and mom Jamie-Lynn Sigler who is welcoming people to stop by the Serta Comfort Corner at Big Screen Plaza (851 6th Avenue between West 29th and 30th Streets) in New York City today from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. (EST). Fans will be invited to join Serta in a relaxing bedroom setting amidst the city’s boisterous streets. There, people will be able to take time out to declare peace and be inspired to recreate their own comfort corner at home, all while trying out Serta’s latest technologically-advanced mattress offerings.

“Between work, travels and being a mom, my days are busy and overwhelming – and it can be really challenging to press pause and be in the moment,” said Sigler. “I am excited to partner with Serta to remind us that we all need to make time to find peace, relax and rejuvenate. And there’s no better place to do that than in the comfort of your own bed.”

Earlier this year, Serta reinvented its most popular mattress collections, offering a variety of models for everyone’s comfort preference and price point. Many models are compatible with Serta’s adjustable foundations – like the new Motion Essentials® base – for a completely customizable bedroom experience:

  • Serta’s all-new iComfort Memory Foam Sleep System features new TempActiv™ technology, which is an advanced temperature regulation system that helps to comfortably cool while supporting every curve of the body.
  • The Serta Perfect Sleeper has been designed with each model made with a unique set of comfort and support features to help solve five common sleep problems.

In addition to the New York City kickoff event and sweepstakes, the new “Declare Peace” advertising campaign debuts today and will run across broadcast and digital networks including select Spotify channels. Campaign content will also be published across Serta’s social channels.

Serta Simmons Bedding Announces New Cooperative Marketing Program to Support Independent Retailers and Amplify Share of Voice in Local Markets

ATLANTA – February 10, 2017 – Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC (“SSB”), the number one manufacturer and distributor of mattresses in the United States, today announced that it has launched an innovative, cooperative marketing strategy in partnership with its large independent retailer base, called the Advantage Marketing Program.

The Advantage Marketing Program (“AMP”) offers retailers the opportunity to partner with SSB in an aggressive advertising effort by leveraging SSB’s size and scale on a national level. AMP builds on significant investments that SSB is making in product development for its two best-selling brands, offering retailers more depth and breadth across all facets of their marketing efforts.

“In addition to making significant product portfolio investments in our market-leading Serta® and Beautyrest® brands, we are excited about engaging our participating retail partners in a new way to capture consumer attention in their specific markets, matching their advertising investments on a dollar-for-dollar basis,” said Michael Traub, Chief Executive Officer of SSB.

The campaign kicked off in January through a multi-million media buy funded by SSB to extend consumer awareness in lifestyle, business and general interest publications and local radio networks. To date, the AMP has generated more than 1.4 billion impressions for the Serta and Beautyrest brands.

“SSB is committed to helping our strong network of independent retailers grow, and this program gives us a way to further support their success,” said Traub. “We have seen a great response from our partners thus far and are proud to help them amplify their advertising efforts that connect with consumers and drive traffic into their stores.”

Retailers can sign up in specific locations or by store, which means that large retailers with multiple locations who join the program have the opportunity to significantly increase their awareness in target markets.

“It can be difficult for independent retailers to gauge whether ads are reaching target customers or if a creative message is effective,” said Traub. “Through this program, we are investing alongside our retailers, and we are also providing access to market research and promotional strategies that are typically reserved for companies making substantial national ad buys.”

AMP also extends the reach of SSB’s industry-leading Serta and Beautyrest brands. In addition to the AMP, Serta and Beautyrest will continue to actively promote their sub-brands and product lines throughout the year with national advertising campaigns featuring the iconic Counting Sheep for Serta and New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady for Beautyrest Black. Both brands will introduce new campaigns in 2017.

Beautyrest® Introduces Two New Mattress Collections At Las Vegas Market

Company adds new Beautyrest Silver™ models to its portfolio, creates clear step-up sub-brand story for consumers

(ATLANTA – January 22, 2017) – The Beautyrest Brand, one of the industry’s leading mattress brands, is launching two new mattress collections at this week’s Las Vegas Furniture Market, creating clear “better, best, luxury” categories within the Beautyrest brand family, while addressing the needs of consumers looking for the ideal balance of comfort and value. The Beautyrest Brand is also planning the retail debut of its new Beautyrest® Sleeptracker® sleep monitoring system.

“At Beautyrest, we’re constantly evaluating how to improve sleep performance and offer consumers the best support, comfort and temperature management possible,” said Jim Gallman, Beautyrest Executive Vice President, Marketing. “Our newest mattress collections encompass the innovation, research and technology that we’ve poured into this launch. We are excited to lead the conversation about the future of sleep.”

BEAUTYREST SILVER SOLIDIFIES BRAND STEP-UP STORY

This January, Beautyrest is replacing its successful Beautyrest Recharge® line with the new Beautyrest Silver collection, creating an easy-to-understand step-up story for consumers. With Beautyrest Platinum™ and Beautyrest Black® rounding out the “best” and “luxury” categories of the Beautyrest step-up story, Beautyrest Silver includes 11 quilted models and five hybrid models, and price points for the line range from $699 to $1,999. All Beautyrest Silver models can be paired with the Triton Foundation and include a 10-year limited warranty.

“In developing the Beautyrest Silver collection, we conducted a significant amount of research into who would be buying the line and what appeals most to this type of customer,” said Laura Brewick, Beautyrest Senior Brand Director. “As a result, we’ve targeted this line toward discerning consumers who expect premium elements in their day-to-day lives; plus, we’ve incorporated a new aesthetic that pairs blue and gray plaid visuals with diamond-pattern accents – a look that will stand out on the retail floor. We’re confident that the research put into the Beautyrest Silver collection has positioned it for success.”

Offering higher profiles along with the best feels ever, the Beautyrest Silver quilted models feature 815 Density Beautyrest Pocketed Coil® Technology to help deliver conforming back support, as well as DualCool™ Technology Fiber, which offers two key benefits of temperature management and preventing the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew in the fiber to help keep your mattress fresh.

With proven feels, all Beautyrest Silver Hybrid models pair 1,000 Density Beautyrest Pocketed Coil Technology with DualCool Technology Memory Foam for an exceptional sleep experience. The DualCool Technology Memory Foam integrates natural silver into the foam to help move heat away from the surface of the mattress so you stay cool and comfortable while your body conforms to the top layers of the bed. Each Beautyrest Silver Hybrid model includes additional comfort layers, such as AirCool Memory Foam, AirCool Gel Memory Foam, Dynamic Response™ Memory Foam and GelTouch Foam. While the types of layers in the models vary, each combination offers a distinctive feel based on the specific properties of each component.

BEAUTYSLEEP® OFFERS IDEAL COMFORT AND VALUE

The new Simmons BeautySleep models premiere at Las Vegas Market this January. The BeautySleep line offers a wide selection of mattresses for individuals who desire outstanding comfort as well as outstanding value.
